The WhiteNoise Suite (no.4), 2008So I'm continuing the White Noise series that I started and posted about back in the summer. The top one is the newest (no.4) in the group which ultimately will number 9 I think. The second one is actually no.3 from the summer but I reworked the cloud/dust portion. I'm much happier with this result than previously. Each measures 24 x 18 in.
That is odd. I had a Goya flash with #4.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in Helmut. Been a fan of your blog for some time. I may have to revisit the name of this group because I'm also thinking about M.P. Shiel's Purple Cloud, shock and awe - as well as dust bowl type scenarios..
ReplyDeleteI really like these two. I like how the road or highway brings me into the painting with mysterious clouds in background. Could be mother nature as a tornado or man made explosion. I like that feel better then the grids which seems to leave me hanging in free space trying to grasp something concrete.
