Jean Baudrillard Dead at 77

Baudrillard has passed
into the eternal simulacra. The last generation of influencial philosophy is shrinking in number.

No doubt...Baudrillard was one on the most important philosopher of the last years.
Unfortunaly, his dead...is a reality.
I wrote something about him in my blog...
Take care!

I am filled with sadness. His early work on consumption was what switched me from art to philosophy studentdom. I've only just bought the translation of his 1996 attack on the professionalistion of art - holiday reading. Even my newer blog uses a term of his. Will blog something on the Differance Engine.

Hey Jeff, Looking forward to reading that when you get it up. Ken's stuff on his blog was good. I think for lot's of artists(students) Buadrillard and/or Foucault were the first intro to continental philosophy - so the loss makes sense.
